Tiong Shian Claypot Frog Porridge



Pork porridge - $4
Ginger claypot frog leg - $16 

I'm usually not a fan of porridge because some porridge are absolutely disgusting. Like those kind of EXTREMELY watery types. It is like eating rice with fucking water. 

However, all these changed when I was in Sarawak many years ago where I just randomly ordered pork porridge because nothing else nice was available. I was skeptical at first because at that time I hated porridge even more. I would say that bowl of porridge changed my life. 

It was thick with sooooo many chunks of juicy pork inside. And the whole thing was so flavourful. My opinion of this "bland" dish was completely changed. 

Anyway, the pork porridge at Tiong Shian was alright. And the frog legs would be better if it was saltier. But it is really quite pricey for the portion...

Mundane


My mundane work life. 

I am going to take my driving license next month after I get my pay. No more procrastinating!! Also, am contemplating to buy so many things how I wish I have unlimited money.

Eating away

So. all I do is spend money on food recently. 




Had this good Macau food recently @ Tai Lei Loi Kei at NEX. Not only was it good, but affordable as well! This whole set costs less than $10! 

Had the signature pork chop bun/burger. You can choose between baguette bun and bolo bun. And their sawdust cake (available together with the set) is to die for!!! The curry fish ball is just fish ball in curry gravy... 



Was also craving for Vietnamese pho. Ever since the first time I tried pho (think last year??), I fell in love with this dish! This was at So Pho and to be honest, I think Nam Nam Noodle Bar is so much better.


And the cheap and affordable steak at Aston's. 


Satisfied my Wing Stop cravings too. I think Wing Stop is so much better than Wing Zone! And I LOVE the garlic parmesan chicken with the ranch sauce. What an awesome combination! I think the next time I'll just stick to garlic parmesan and stop trying the other flavours because so far, all them are shit.
